Countrywide Biography
Countrywide is the second real estate company established in Lake Cowichan. Opened in 1995 the company has consistently provided excellent services to buyers and sellers in Lake Cowichan, Youbou, Honeymoon Bay, Mesachie Lake and other surrounding areas. According to statistics provided by Vancouver Island Real Estate Board, Countrywide has consistently sold at least 75% of their listings. Our goal is to ensure that all parties involved in a real estate transaction are totally satisfied with their experience.
We are active supporters of our community and members of the Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce. Coutrywide supports the Lake Cowichan Minor Hockey Association and a variety of local charities.
Keith Nelson Biography
Keith Nelson grew up in Lake Cowichan and graduated from Lake Cowichan Secondary School. After a successful career in the logging industry, Keith was badly injured in 1987 and after recovering from his injuries, began selling real estate in 1992. He has been a top-selling Realtor with Countrywide Village Realty since 1995, and in 2004 Keith purchased the company.
As a father to three grown sons with wife Deena, Keith has been actively involved in many community groups. These have included being a hockey coach (sometimes coaching three teams at once), President of the Cowichan Lake and District Minor Hockey Association, Executive of the Island Motocross Association and Director of Cowichan Valley Regional District Parks Area I. When Keith becomes invloved in a volunteer organization he is totally committed to the task!
Keith is proud to be part of a professional team and his slogan "Keith's Your Man" reflects his strong ties to the community where he lives and works.
Sharon Kelly Biography
Sharon has been active in the housing industry since 1979. For 13 years her real estate experience focused on property management with a diverse portfolio that included rental, strata corporations, retail, warehouse space and office buildings. This extensive background is a great benefit for her clients, as she understands the complexities of variety of real estate investments.
While living in Vancouver, Sharon was a well known speaker and educator on real estate topics. She wrote the distance education curriculum on property management for Langara Community College and taught at the college for 6 years. She moved to the island in 1999 and lived in Duncan before settling in Lake Cowichan in 2003. Sharon joined Countrywide Village Realty in September 2005 and loves introducing people to the region. Sharon was a volunteer with the Duncan Community Policing for 2 years, sat on the Board of Directors of the local Chamber of Commerce and is currently a board member of the B.C. Arbitration and Meditation Institute.
